Pricing & Plans

Is the website really free to build?

Yes—your initial build (up to 4 pages) is $0 when you're on our Monthly Care plan.

How much is Monthly Care? What's included?

Our standard Monthly Care rate is $99/mo. We sometimes run promotions (e.g., $53/mo for 12 months). Your Proposal shows the exact price and duration you qualify for. The plan covers hosting, SSL, backups, security updates, performance tuning, Google indexing/analytics setup, and ongoing support. It also includes one small content update per month (≈15 minutes). Larger changes are quoted.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. Any third‑party costs (e.g., premium plugins, payment gateways, domain renewals, optional infrastructure upgrades) are pass‑through at cost and approved by you first.

Do you ever charge more than $53/mo?

If you're on a promotional rate like $53/mo, that covers your promo term. The standard rate is $99/mo. In uncommon cases we may recommend an optional Platform Boost—extra capacity/security for high traffic or special needs—at pass‑through cost (typically $20–$30/mo). We'll explain why and get your approval first.

Why do I see $53/mo in some places?

That's a promotional rate. If it's active and you qualify, your Proposal/Order will show $53/mo and how long it lasts. When the promo term ends, your plan renews at the then-current standard rate unless we agree otherwise.

Will my price change later?

If you're on a promo, your rate stays the same during the promo term. After that, it renews at the then-current Base Rate ($99/mo) unless we extend or renew a promo in writing. We give 30 days' notice for Base Rate changes.

Hosting & Platform

What hosting do you use?

We manage the platform for speed, security, and reliability, and may upgrade providers over time. You don't need to manage the stack—we handle it for you.

Can I use my own hosting?

Yes. If you require client‑provided hosting, the free build doesn't apply. We'll deliver a build‑only project for a one‑time $300–$600 (depending on complexity) and deploy to your host if it meets our baseline requirements. Ongoing care on your hosting is available starting at $99/mo, subject to platform capabilities.

What is "Platform Boost"?

A small upgrade to the underlying infrastructure for advanced security/performance or unusually high traffic. It's optional and billed at cost (no markup).

Domains & Email

Do you include a domain name?

Yes—year 1 of a standard, available domain (e.g., .com/.net/.org). You own it. Renewals after year 1 are at standard registrar rates.

Will contact‑form emails always reach my inbox?

We configure best practices (SPF/DKIM/DMARC and reputable sender), but inbox placement depends on recipient servers and reputation. No provider can guarantee 100% deliverability.

Process & Timeline

How fast can we launch?

Typical launch is ~1 week after you provide content and approvals (depending on complexity and your response time).

What do you need from me to start?

Your logo/brand assets, copy, images, preferred pages/sections, and a point of contact for approvals.

Ownership & Access

Who owns the website?

Your content is yours. After amounts due are paid, you receive a license to use the website and design for your business. We retain background IP (our internal components/tools) used to deliver the site.

Can you hand over the site to my developer later?

Yes. We can provide an export and coordinate a handoff. Migration or special packaging may incur a one‑time fee.

Support & Changes

What's a "small content update"?

A quick text or photo swap, link change, or tiny tweak (~15 minutes). New sections/pages, layout changes, feature additions, or integrations are scoped and quoted.

How do I request changes?

Email support with clear notes and assets. We try to turn around small edits within 2–3 business days.

Security & Compliance

Is my site secure?

We include SSL, security updates, and best‑practice hardening. For regulated sectors or formal audits (e.g., WCAG/ADA, HIPAA), ask about a custom compliance package.

Cancellation & Refunds

Can I cancel anytime?

There's a 3‑month minimum. You may cancel any time after that with 30 days' notice. We can provide a site export where feasible.

Do you offer refunds?

The build is free. If you cancel within 30 days of your first Monthly Care charge and aren't satisfied, we'll refund that first payment (the amount actually paid—promo or standard rate). After 30 days, Monthly Care is non‑refundable.

If I cancel, does my site go offline?

Your site remains live through the paid period. After cancellation, hosting ends unless you move the site to your own host. We can quote migration assistance if needed.
